Overall job purpose

The Lead Systems and Data role offers an exciting opportunity to drive forward the best use of the Learning Management System (Cornerstone), working with key stakeholders across the Talent Development teams, testing and implementing new initiatives whilst maintaining content on the system to ensure the user experience on the platform is improved. This role would suit someone who is constantly striving to challenge and improve the way things are done, and uses judgement to apply specific techniques to deliver focussed outcomes that support the wider team and business.

Responsibilities:

  • Using data from the system to maintain and manage content availability working with the wider team to develop a process to improve how this is achieved
  • To engage with key stakeholders across Talent Development, Technical Training, Early Careers and Digital teams discussing lifecycle of content and trends on the system
  • To engage with Operations Manager to ensure lifecycle of content added to the system is reflected in scoping documents and agreements are reflected in the content management process, identifying, refining and implementing system processes where necessary
  • Maintain the MyPathway (LMS) homepage and banners specifically thinking about the onboarding process and service line specific views and the overall user experience
  • Testing and implementing new initiatives (skills, playlist progression, star ratings, completion page) before liaising with the Digital Learning Manager and HRD System teams to drive these initiatives forward
  • Engaging with the HRD Systems team to discuss and test Cornerstone updates to the system and ensuring that any problems are fully investigated before involving Systems to explore further
  • Maintaining dynamic and manual assignments needed to ensure mandatory training is allocated and completed for those it is intended for (Regulation and Compliance modules in particular)
  • Maintaining the new joiner process with access to content
  • Producing reports and dashboards using Excel and PowerBI
  • Identifying trends – popular courses, self requested, completion rates
  • To ensure the intranet is regularly updated with links to programmes and details on the My Pathway site driving forward engagement and use as a source of information for the firm


Personal and professional qualities:

The role requires:

  • Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems (preferably Cornerstone On Demand)
  • Strong Office 365 skills (particularly Excel)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and meticulous attention to detail
  • Be able to work well under pressure and manage workloads effectively
  • Be highly self-motivated and well organised
