Are you a data-driven individual with a compliance mindset? PropSource Consulting are thrilled to be working with a leading property management company that are seeking to grow their Professional Services team by recruiting a Data Analyst (Compliance Officer).
About the position
The role is primarily to monitor a range of databases, analyse data against compliance standards and provide monthly and quarterly reports to senior management. The required reports will include data analysis of business-critical incidents and monitoring Section 20 projects on a central tracker, as well as monitoring compliance with RICS standards and current legislation.
This is an essential role, ensuring that reports are provided in a timely manner and the company’s compliance is monitored on a regular basis.
Responsibilities will include:
- Oversee, mentor and assist the Compliance Assistant in the monitoring and recording of general advice, AML reporting and miscellaneous projects
- Analyse information gathered from the property management databases to provide reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Carry out regular audits on tracked property management activities
- Develop and implement systems and processes to enable monitoring with a reduced burden on property managers and regional heads.
- Provide support to the Quality & Compliance Manager in researching and collating complaint responses as required
- Write process and procedure documents for divisional policies.
- Act as liaison officer to external surveyors in the monitoring of sites managed by the company on their behalf.
- Carry out monthly reviews and provide reports of sites where the company acts as both Client and Agent.
- Update the in-house Datastation system with all reported incidents, follow up proactively and escalate when required to Head of Claims and Compliance.
- To manage ad hoc projects, initiatives and events as necessary
Who we are looking for
- You are comfortable working with databases and have some experience in the auditing of processes and procedures and analysing information.
- You are competent in MS Office software packages and have in-depth experience with Excel and reporting software
- You have experience in residential and / or commercial property management
- You are resourceful, curious and keen to get involved where needed
- You are a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal direction
- You are enthusiastic, approachable and adaptable, able to deal adeptly with varied personality types
- You strive to clarify in order to solve problems
Essential Skills
- Fluency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Confident in communicating with teams and stakeholders, across all levels of the organisation
- Effective verbal and listening skills
- Strong organisational, co-ordination, planning and prioritisation skills
- Ability to work as a team member, including being flexible and supportive of other team members
- Ability to multitask and remain positive under pressure
- Ability to completely format reports and documents
- Focus on detail and accuracy
