Join us as a Data & Analytics Manager, Regulatory Assurance
- Take on a challenge within a new finance team, in which you’ll manage the analysis of complex bank, franchise or function data to identify reporting issues and opportunities
- You'll be able to create valuable networks as you build, manage collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders across the business
- This is a hands on role in which you'll hone your data analysis expertise and gain valuable experience in a dynamic area of our business while also building regulatory and finance knowledge
What you'll do
As a Data & Analytics Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of the assurance activities of the team. You’ll be performing data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis, alongside developing and performing standard queries to ensure data quality and identify data inconsistencies and missing data.
You'll be part of a team responsible for providing independent and objective assurance for the bank on the accuracy and completeness of regulatory reporting outcomes and calculations.
Day-to-day, you’ll also be:
- Driving data culture within Financial Reporting Assurance Team. Coaching and upskilling colleagues to make the most of data and to explore ways to manage and automate large data sets
- Supporting the Regulatory Assurance reviews within the team by extracting data from core systems and building models for reperformance of regulatory calculations
- Working with big data to carry out automated assurance activity and flag areas or transactions for further review
- Developing algorithms to support regulatory reporting assurance team activity, driving and influencing improvements both within the team and for stakeholders
- Producing dashboards to present future assurance activities and findings from completed reviews
The skills you'll need
We’re looking for a self-starter with experience of using data analysis tools and delivering data analysis in a technology function.
We’ll also look for:
- An in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains
- A background in delivering research based on qualitative and quantitative data across a range of subjects
- Advanced SQL and intermediate Python skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to define and manage your own workload and comfortable working in an environment outside a more traditional data and analytics function
