Membership is the biggest single contributor to the Trust's total income from supporters. We need to encourage not only continued retention but increased engagement if we are to achieve our strategic objectives. We also need to diversify support where possible by understanding more about our existing supporters & their behaviour.

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to support the Membership team. This role will be instrumental in promoting and delivering the use of data-driven insights to help improve understanding and to inform key decisions. If you have extensive analytical skills, are a strong communicator and passionate about data, this could be the role for you!

This role will sit within the National Membership Team, and you’ll be working with a wide range of internal teams across the organisation.

Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust. The role will involve travel to our head office to meet with colleagues and to carry out work.

What you'll be doing:You’ll be providing a wide range of technical data analysis & insight to the National Trust Membership team, providing comprehensive data & reports, using a suite of technical tools & data sets. You’ll be a key member of the Trust's Membership team, producing reports & analysis that will enable senior business owners to make informed decisions to maximise income & support. You will be instrumental in promoting & delivering data-driven insights, with responsibility for the quality of data driven work.

This role is pivotal to supplying business owners with the information needed to make strategic business decisions to achieve our long-term ambitions.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
  • Experience with data mining
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Knowledge of Tableau, or similar visualisation tools
  • Experience of producing and delivering reports to a high quality
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable sharing recommendations with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Great attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work individually and as part of a team
