We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join a growing data team to start taking the company further into making data driven decisions. Initially this role will involve transferring knowledge from an external BI consultant but will then be a key part of Moto’s in-house capability, enhancing existing reporting and creating new insight into current and new data sources.

As our Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Create and maintain data visualisations, detailed reporting and analytics that tailor to the needs of a varied user base
  • Work as part of a Data and Business Intelligence team, you will be a key resource in analytical capability, providing knowledge transfer, support and mentoring as a team to increase the wider organisations skill set
  • Work closely with multi-disciplined teams to deliver end to end data requirements in a timely manner
  • Take multiple complex data sets and combining to provide Moto new and meaningful insight into customer behaviour and trends
  • Ensure that reporting is of sufficient data quality that it can be trusted and utilised across Moto
  • Work with wider business stakeholders, to unearth requirements and dependencies, providing timescales and estimates of complexity
  • Work with the data engineering function to maintain and optimise the data warehouse
  • Review and curate Moto’s dashboards and reports to ensure content is current and utilised
  • Migrate Moto’s legacy reporting platform and implement modern data practices

As our Data Analyst, you will have:

  • Proven experience within a Data Analyst role
  • Experience with BI/visual analytics software as a user for gaining insights and as a creator of dashboards for business users
  • Ability to write SQL queries
  • Comfortable working with large multi-dimensional data sets
  • Understanding of modern data platforms
  • Good stakeholder management

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience creating visual dashboards in Tableau preferable, alternatively Power BI
  • Knowledge of SQL reporting services
  • Have worked in hospitality, retail or catering industry previously
