The Position
The Data Analyst is responsible for creating and updating dashboards and reports that provide meaningful insights to support Mid-America Transplant’s life-saving mission. This role is also responsible for optimizing the way dashboards are organized and accessed to enhance the end-user experience, ensure security and confidentiality of sensitive data, and promote the hassle-free use of analytics in real-time decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Creates and updates dashboards and reports that provide accurate and meaningful information and insights.
- Certifies dashboards that others have created, ensuring accuracy and adherence to organizational design standards.
- Collaborates with managers and staff to identify strategic opportunities to develop dashboards and other business intelligence solutions to automate processes, enhance decision-making and optimize outcomes.
- Manages access to and organizes the reporting environment, so that the security and confidentiality of sensitive information is maintained and so that end-users are able to access the insights they need on-demand.
- Provides ongoing support to managers and staff as they build and interact with dashboards and reports, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Math, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration or Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
- At least 3 years of work experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Online, integrating data from disparate data sources, creating calculated fields and creating user-friendly dashboards
- Proficient in SQL
- Solid analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Skilled in discovering, understanding and analyzing reporting requirements
- Excellent customer service skills and solid communication skills; written, verbal and presentation
- Skilled at forming and sustaining relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders
- The ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently while upholding core values of excellence, innovation, stewardship, collaboration, integrity, and compassion.
