About M Group Services Plant and Fleet and your team
With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than 9,000 vehicles and over 25,000 owned or externally hired plant assets.
Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

Who you are?
The successful candidate will have experience in transforming transactional data into actionable insight, working closely with internal Managers and external clients. Familiarisation with Microsoft Excel’s advanced features and use of Tableau/PowerBI experience is desirable.

As the Data Analyst, you’ll get the opportunity to:
- Carry out production and publication of bespoke, weekly and monthly management information MI (examples include KPI dashboards for internal management, client dashboards)
- Adhoc analysis requirements – hire operations and services operations (combined)
- Supply chain reconciliation with business systems
- Supply chain data management and onward reporting – expenditure, revenues, service and compliance
- Tracking of vendor spend activity, external spend activity, production, publication and on-going development of reports to business SMT
- Analytical support for tenders
What you’ll bring:
- Experience within an analytical function is essential
- Educated to degree level in a numerical field is desirable
- Advanced level of Microsoft Excel is key, for data extraction and manipulation
- Experience of ‘Power Query’
- Knowledge of plant and fleet is desirable
- Tableau/PowerBI experience is desirable
- Effective communication skills
- Present solutions to data challenges
- Able to build strong and sustainable customer relationships
- The ability to own and translate MI to the management team to enable effective delivery of solutions
