The Tax Change team is part of the Finance Platform. Our team manages all technical and process changes required for Group Tax.
We primarily work on complying with Making Tax Digital (end to end digitisation of all tax transactions and tax reporting in the bank). We’re well along on our journey of Making Tax Digital for VAT, and this role will help facilitate Making Tax Digital for Corporation Tax.

What you'll be doing...
We are starting our design and build phases of Making Tax Digital for VAT, and this role is to work with our Business Analysts and our market leading external supplier, supporting the complex data analysis required to facilitate Making Tax Digital for VAT.
We are an enduring team and we work in a hybrid Waterfall/Agile environment to try to make use of Agile ways of working wherever possible.
In addition, we work closely within our teams and across business units to understand and correct what has gone wrong, to ensure our clients are treated fairly and to make sure the lessons are learned.
We enable the business to maintain a high level of performance, whilst fully adhering to all regulatory standards and requirements. We also feel empowered to challenge thinking and behaviours in an open, safe, and innovative environment.
About you
A confident data professional who is passionate about both data/analytics with an interest in solving problems through data and translating data into analytics.
You'll solve problem for our customers in Group Tax, having the means to explain your analysis and ability to link that analysis to customer requirements, translating technical and non-technical details.
We need a proactive individual who is happy to push work forward themselves, as we work collaboratively in a self-managing team.
Strong communication is key as you will be working with multiple groups of stakeholders – both internal and external development teams & business teams
Here’s where you’ll make a difference:
- Developing high quality analysis and solutions, ingesting data from multiple different sources to build Lloyds Banking Group’s complex VAT solution
- Providing critical customer & transaction data expertise to help shape the approach to solving the problem and supplying new/existing datasets into problem solving solutions.
- Building Data Quality Dashboards and visualising issues & solutions through Power BI
More specifically we’d like you to have much of the below list, but it's ok if you don't check every box:
- Data analysis experience
- Experience in SQL scripts
- Experience in data & problem visualisation Via Power BI
- Open to working within Scrum/Agile (no experience necessary)
- Willing to share knowledge with other team members and help to upskill them
- Identifies shortcomings and suggests improvements to existing processes, systems and procedures
- Passionate about driving a modern and inclusive culture
- Able to listen, reflect and respect the views of others as well as being able to communicate your own opinion
- A growth mindset, open to learning from other team members
