THE JOB
Live Nation Entertainment’s Media & Sponsorship Division is looking for a highly resourceful team player to bring their passion for live music, knowledge of analytical solutions and the drive to use data to solve real world business problems to join the Data Analytics & Audience Science team as a Data Analyst.
The Data Analytics and Audience Science team is tasked at creating the next generation data analytics and marketing technology stack that will fuel Live Nation’s Media and Sponsorship division’s growth. This team will empower sales, marketing, research and product teams with analytical solutions and data science models that support the team’s goal to help enhance the concert going experience of millions of music fans by connecting them with world-class brands. With a Live Nation concert every 16 minutes, somewhere in the world, Live Nation powers the experience economy in a way no other company does. The Data Analyst will play a key role by capturing, processing and transforming multiple datasets into actionable analytical products and solutions. They’ll partner closely with the Product, Measurement, and Marketing Research teams to help drive strategy and execution.
Please note this is temporary role expected to last 6 months.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Support the development and launch of a new reporting framework for strategic brand partners engaged across a number of Live Nation Sponsorship assets
Broaden internal access to live event data through development of dynamic reporting and visualization solutions
Inform product decisions and launches through insights derived from proprietary data
Assist in exploratory analysis to support thought leadership and marketing research
Show initiative to solve business problems using modern data analysis techniques
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
2+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or within a similar role
Ability to work in a decentralized organization
Knowledge of SQL syntax and experience debugging queries for accurate results
Experience with analytical techniques and the ability to apply them to business solutions
A quick learner, who has the ability to iterate and adapt to the needs of the business in an agile fashion
Strong organizational, prioritization and communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in quantitive fields such as economics, engineering, mathematics, or statistics is a plus
Ability to code complex SQL queries preferred
Experience with Python / R preferred
Experience in working with unstructured data spanning multiple disparate sources preferred

New York City Hiring Rate*: $43.00 / hour
