About This Role:
The College of Education is seeking applicants for a Data Analyst. As part of the Dean's Office, the position will provide data analysis and reporting to support initiatives of student success, resource management, accreditation, program review and strategic planning. This position works closely with college personnel to support data needs and ensure accuracy of data. The analyst is responsible for managing extracting, developing, and analyzing college and program level data sets. Responsibilities also include summarizing data, preparing information for distribution, presenting and explaining information and findings. Successful candidates will have a strong consultative skillset and be able to develop professional relationships with units in the College and others across campus in order to understand processes and needs, and use this knowledge to develop responsive data reports.

What You'll Need to Succeed:Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree and one to three years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong foundational analytical capabilities including evaluation, analysis and data visualization.
Ability to utilize a diversity of software packages, applications and automated systems for collecting and managing data, such as: databases; spreadsheets; statistical packages (SAS, SPSS or R); reporting tools; and other business intelligence software including but not limited to, MS Office Suite, Power BI, and other query tools
Knowledge of higher education data elements and their utilization
Demonstrate and consistently exercise professionalism and judgement in handling, protecting, and reporting confidential and sensitive data.
Well-developed professional writing and presentation skills.
Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple office activities simultaneously while completing assigned tasks in an accurate and timely manner.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with other research professionals.
Educational background / training in data analytics, social science research methods, mathematics, and/or computer science preferred.
Professional experience in Institutional Research, program accreditation, data analysis, and/or business analytics preferred.
