The team
Our ITV Commercial team is responsible for bringing in the £2bn worth of advertising that helps fund ITV's programming. However, our Commercial team isn’t just about advertising sales jobs, with an ever-changing marketplace and a multitude of new platforms just waiting for you to tap into, selling TV and online advertising & partnerships has never been so exciting.
The role
We have a new opportunity to join our Sales Operations team as a Data Analyst, based at our office in White City, London.
Reporting to the Commercial Analysis Controller, the Data Analyst will bring data expertise into the team responsible for providing forecasting and analysis to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the ITVX ad experience for both viewers and customers.
As Data Analyst, you’ll analyse and present ad-server data, highlighting trends, issues and opportunities by providing and presenting timely and digestible information. Visualising and presenting dashboards of information to a range of internal stakeholders will be a key part of the role.
It’s a fast moving environment, with ever changing customer and viewing trends, and highlighting commercial insights, whilst informing the business of our inventory supply forecasts and requirements, is a central part of the job.
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Strong understanding of data visualisation concepts and best practices.
- Proven previous experience in a data driven role.
- Good knowledge of analytics and visualisation tools [e.g. Tableau, Looker].
- Experience using SQL, Excel and Google Sheets for data extraction, analysis and modelling.
- Experience of handling and manipulating customer data – e.g. ad-server data or similar.
Other things we’re looking for (key criteria)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into insights and recommendations and explain findings to the team.
- Commercially minded with an ability to prioritise workload.
- Results driven and pragmatic.
- Ability to create and design customer friendly dashboards.
