Required Skills


Reporting to the VP, Theatre Project and Strategic Initiatives. The Sr. Data Analyst will take ownership of the Theatre Development Department's data analytics/reporting to empower cross functional teams and guide business decisions. The Sr. Data Analyst will work closely with the Development and Data teams to provide support in the creation of detailed analytical models and providing expert opinion related to the integration and processing of data relevant to the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize programmatic and quantitative methods to identify patterns and relationships in large data sets, as well as apply mathematical, statistical, and other data-driven analysis to address intelligence questions
  • Conduct detailed analysis on data used across business units to evaluate processes and improve on/create new features
  • Analyze and improve business processes specific to discrepant data scenarios
  • Provide expertise and translate the business needs to design; and develop tools, techniques, and metrics, and dashboards for insights and data visualization

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or in a related field
  • 3-5 years of industry experience in data analysis using SQL, SAP & Python
  • Understanding of Scripting experience in (Python, Perl, JavaScript, Shell)
  • Practical knowledge of data in various forms (data warehouses/SQL, unstructured data environments/PIG,HIVE, Impala)
  • Familiarity with BI reporting tools (i.e. Tableau and Business Objects)
  • Experience working within process management and improvement methodologies – Lean, Six Sigma, etc.; demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools (i.e. Informatica DQ)
  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies, software design patterns, network design and architecture
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and statistical modelling
  • Must be able to work well under pressure and achieve results within the scheduled time-frame
  • Must have strong writing and verbal communication skills to perform their job duties
