Business and Data Analyst:
The Business and Data Analyst will be working as part of an exciting team, to provide business and data analysis and visualization in a demanding, fast-paced professional services environment. The primary goals are to leverage the Agency’s leadership team’s time to make informed decisions, track and measure performance, benchmark, and provide the visualizations (dashboards) for analysis, portfolio management, and support the broader team, and successfully serve the Agency’s Mission. You have a deep commitment to advance national and economic security.
Role Highlights:
- Develop, design, and maintain QA/performance dashboards.
- Develop and maintain data records, with automating team processes (including working with DARPA’s IT team) to improve data quality and data consistency.
- Develop, design, and maintain financial and business dashboards for team members and leadership for portfolio management and allocation, financial and business reporting for operational excellence, and developing reports for DIRO, Congress, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze, summarize, and communicate the business and financial content for scientists and engineers “business lay” audiences quickly and effectively.
- Navigate DARPA system requirements to enable data storage and use on DARPA network, utilization of data.
- Ensure best practices, and team adoption of DARPA’s IT requirements for databases, export and import of files for collaboration and records management.
- Responsible for data QA/data processes including communicating/training of new Commercial Strategy Team members.
Requirements:
- Secret clearance, and or the ability to obtain a secret clearance
- 3+ years’ experience and high level of expertise with Tableau or other BI tools for building, maintaining, and providing dashboards
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Excel functions such as macros and pivot tables; PowerPoint; and Survey tools
- 3+ years’ experience with data source identification/analysis as well as data extracting, manipulation, and compilation
- 3-4+ years’ professional work experience which includes a minimum of >2+ years’ experience working with the venture, accelerator, start-up/private investment community; and >1+ year working for a Government, University and/or corporate client
- Ability to be a self-starter, take the lead, and provide support in a team role within a complex, fast-paced, and cross-disciplinary work environment
- Team-oriented, service-based mind-set, and integrate easily into a dynamic face-paced team with diverse technical and business backgrounds and expertise
- Ability to organize, multi-task, and respond to quick turn-around requests
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor's degree

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
