Purpose of Job
- Utilising existing HORIBA-MIRA IT systems, provide business level analysis and insights of our
project portfolio status and performance. This will enable stakeholders (include HORIBA MIRA
Board) to make informed decisions and will enable our business to identify areas of opportunity
and improvement. - Provide project level insights to our established team of Project Managers allowing them to
make the right decisions at the right times from a position of understanding. - Provide data driven project governance reporting
- Lead improvements to our existing project data and toolset through both step change and
continuous improvement. - Work with Project Coordinators and Project Managers and lead improvements to our data
quality, providing mechanisms for identifying deficiencies and prioritising improvement efforts.
This will include advising on how to represent certain project situations within our data systems
in a way that provides greatest accuracy / maintainability for the business.

Please note: This role is a ‘hybrid working’ role requiring team members to work a minimum of 2 days per week at our Nuneaton site with remote working (via VPN/MSTeams) being fully supported for seamless remote working. During initial on-boarding and/or as required by business needs, greater than 2 days/week on site may be required.
Essential experience
- Typically 4 to 8 years in a role that includes a strong element of project / business data analytics within a project oriented business.
- Excellent MSOffice / computer skills, in particular MSExcel (i.e. utilising complex formulae/functionality, including macros, with confidence)
Preferred experience
- Working with Finance professionals and understanding the impact of project data to business performance
- Working within, and contributing to, process / tool / system improvement activities
- Experience with other statistical and data related software
- Deliver a wide range of project related analyses and reporting within the business (including
those based on, for example, commercial, financial, timing, quality, and customer satisfaction
data sets). This will include tasks such as data cleansing and merging, statistical and
thematic analysis, and data presentation / visualisation (e.g., written, visual, and through
verbal presentation) - Translate stakeholder needs and questions into specific and actionable data queries, and
use these to provide insight, context, and recommendations. This may be short term, in
response to a particular query or situation, or as part of an ongoing change to our processes. - Provide insights that actively guide the data related activities within the PMO team,
supporting improved data quality/cleanliness. - Actively identify and lead opportunities for improvement whether through process, toolset or
sharing of best practise / knowledge (for example, through training others). - Carry out activities that enter, maintain and progress the project data held within our
business systems, assuring and improving its data quality. - Must be capable of working independently and have good interpersonal skills, the ability to integrate into a team working environment, and confidence working with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the business (up to Senior Manager / Board level).
Essential qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a numerical subject (or equivalent through experience).
Preferred qualifications
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Data Analytics or similar (or equivalent through experience).
