Job description

In this role the Data Analyst will be responsible for driving innovation and providing new practical insights into data using tools including Python, SQL, PowerBI and Azure. The Data Analyst will be responsible for the complete data analysis lifecycle, from developing PoC analytics and visualisations to automating data flows and testing to release new tools and features to both internal customers and to be integrated into our core software product. This exciting and stimulating role will drive new and valuable findings, with the Data Analyst playing an important role in enhancing the nature and quality of data provided to the customer, whilst assisting the internal development team in their pursuit of continuous product improvement.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Deliver actionable insights into data, adding value both internally and for customers.
  • Prototype signal processing / analytics algorithms using SQL, Python, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement by continually evaluating, improving and automating data flows and algorithm testing procedures.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytics support to internal stakeholders.
  • Be an active member of the team contributing ideas at all levels.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • STEM degree (or equivalent work experience)
  • Excellent analytical / statistical skills
  • Programming knowledge in Python (or equivalent and willingness to learn)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PowerBI a plus)
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to extract actionable insights from data and clearly communicate proposals, plans, progress and findings to stakeholders of various technical competencies
