Ecoveritas is a leading Packaging Data consultancy, based in Oxford. The focus of our work involves Global territories across several market sectors specialising in data collection and analysis services for EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility), including performing calculations and submissions globally for Packaging Waste, WEEE and Batteries.
Our specialists provide a range of tools and expertise to brands and retailers to efficiently minimise the environmental impact and maximise the effectiveness of their packaging. With strong knowledge and experience of Extended Producer Responsibility, the global packaging industry and in support of a more robust circular economy, the Ecoveritas team offers data collection and analysis services, as well as compliance, packaging consultancy and advice.
We are looking for an experienced data analyst who can take on more challenging clients, deliver a good and consistent level of customer service along with working closely with our Key Account Manager and Assistant Manager. It is expected that a data analyst demonstrates that they can take independent ownership of most aspects of their assigned projects in addition to contributing to wider areas of the business.
Responsibilities
· Project management of more complex or larger projects
· Perform calculations using large data sets working with excel and other inhouse data management systems
· Work independently on projects with minimal supervision from Operations Manager or Assistant Manager including ownership of deadlines/delivery and ensuring timely escalation where appropriate
· Specific client facing work particularly on independent projects
· Suggest and implement changes to improve their assigned projects
· Responsible for ensuring that quality and accuracy are maintained in project work completed
· Support in the training and mentoring of new staff
· Contribute towards a supportive, positive and energetic working environment
· Support the company mission and objectives
· Other appropriate duties which arise in support of the business goals
Essential Criteria
· A strong team player and comfortable working independently
· Highly numerate; be confident and enjoy working with data
· Logical clear thinker and able to think about materiality
· Ability to work carefully, with an excellent eye for detail
· Ability to prioritise workload and adhere to deadlines
· Confident using all MS Office packages, particularly MS Excel
· Confident liaising with external businesses via phone, email and in face to face meetings
· Entitlement to work in the UK
