Job description

Daintta are a rapidly growing, values-driven team of specialists who work with government clients across Cyber, Telecommunications and Data. We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to our mission of protecting the UK through data-driven insights and solutions. As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with our public sector clients and project teams to collect, analyse and interpret complex data sets, providing valuable insights that support evidence-based decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to understand their business requirements and define key performance indicators
  • Identifying data sources, data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL) concepts and methods
  • Designing and implementing data models for further data manipulation and analysis
  • Deliver automated dashboards using various visualisation tools
  • Harvesting and ingesting structured and unstructured data in different formats and standards
  • Integrating, consolidating and cleansing data
  • Ad-hoc analysis on data, providing actionable insights for clients
  • Applying ethical principles in handling data
  • Ensuring appropriate storage of data, in line with relevant legislation
  • Integrating security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, fidelity, flexibility and portability
  • Accurately delivering high quality work to agreed timelines, including taking the initiative and knowing how to jump straight in
  • Supporting client engagements, including pitches and presentations
  • Helping to support & grow Daintta by actively inputting into the company strategy and helping to shape our future

Skills / Knowledge

The role requires the following key skills / knowledge, non-exhaustively:

  • 3+ years of degree level industry experience in data analysis
  • Proven experience in data analysis, preferable in a consultancy or industry setting
  • Experience in client delivery across a range of projects, including data analysis, extraction, transformation, and loading, data intelligence, data security and proven experience in their technologies (e.g. one or more of the following technologies PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, SQL)
  • Experience in database technologies including writing complex queries against their (relational and non-relational) data stores
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and data modelling
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns and experience with code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality and optimisation, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation and alerting
  • Proficiency in data manipulation, analysis and visualisation using tools such as Python, R, SQL or similar technologies
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
  • Knowledge of data governance, data management and data quality assurance practices
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate, and reliable analysis
  • Demonstrable continuous personal development with relevant data certifications and accreditations
