About our exciting opportunity
We are currently looking to recruit a Data Analyst to help us develop our Business Intelligence capability. Using data to unearth valuable insights that drive strategic decision making, improve efficiency and maximise productivity.
This role will be home-based and sits within the Business Intelligence team. This is a varied role that involves providing general reporting and data analysis support to stakeholders from across the business. As well as being responsible for a number of business-as-usual, reporting and data management activities, you will also be heavily involved in the full lifecycle of new BI projects, from initial requirements gathering, through development and user acceptance testing.
- Develop Power BI reports and dashboards as required by the business
- Produce ad-hoc reports and data analysis as required by the business
- Triage new work requests and help manage the lifecycle of those requests
- Stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies
- Responsible for ensuring all work is accurate, relevant and communicated appropriately
- Identify and develop opportunities for more effective data usage in the business
Your skills and experience
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Experience in requirements gathering and requirements analysis
- Solid understanding of and experience in Power BI or similar
- Good understanding of data visualisation concepts and techniques
- Proficient in Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Knowledge of SQL Server, MySQL or other database systems
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate information
- Advanced MS Excel (including Power Query
