Salary: up to £50k + Outstanding Benefits
Hybrid / Flexible working: Must be able to commute to London office
2 Roles at this level.
As the successful Data Analyst, you will have the following experience:
- Experience in a Data Analyst/Analytical role where you have gained experience analysing and synthesizing information from large volumes of data. (If you have a related degree and just 6 months+ experience then this is still one for you to apply for)
- Experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn, SQLAlchemy, Django, Flask etc)
- Experience with SQL
- Highly proficient user of Excel
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools: Power BI (or equivalent)
- Ability to communicate complex information in simple terms
- Demonstrable problem solving and creative skills with great attention to detail
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Curious with a committed to self-development
- Experience in the insurance industry (advantageous but not necessary)
- Understanding/interest in data science and machine learning techniques
As the successful Data Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Maximising value of data collected from clients and external data to improve understanding of risk
- Development of accurate, relevant and timely MI to provide insight about and to clients.
- Developing and maintaining the master data databases
- Review of existing data structure and suggestions for best set up going forward
- Researching technologies, data sources & methodologies & investing time to embed these in regular processes
- Working with clients to build and implement data capture solutions which can operate at scale ·
- Sourcing and analysing external data to allow for better insights at greater granularities
- Knowledge sharing with the BI team, and the wider business Management
- Openness, integrity and professionalism with all staff and third parties
