The Opportunity
As the Data Analyst at Cadent you will work and promote optimum efficiency and compliance whilst working efficiently and with expertise and precision within agreed process, procedure and timescales.
Proactively deliver brilliant quality customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure accurate recording, maintenance and distribution of relevant necessary data.
Champion for identifying improved ways of working and trusted to deliver a quality and specialist experience, always acting responsibly and communicating clearly.
Comply and drive required H&S at all times reducing risk to colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as a champion for data democratisation across the organisation. Supporting Data Governance Manager and the Head of Data in bringing the right business and technology stakeholders to the table.
- Accountable for creation, evolution and appropriate quality of data catalogue and documenting the data linage across Cadent system’s landscape. Development of the appropriate documentation and training on the appropriate metadata collection and management.
- Accountable for evolving Cadent Data Catalogue and Data Lineage capabilities for Cadent. Accountable for integrating metadata repositories with physical enterprise data assets.
- Accountable for promoting and educating Data Owners and Data Stewards in the use of metadata tools and repositories.
- Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining operational procedures for consistent quality metadata management, promoting metadata unification and identification of inconsistencies in the metadata, master data and reference data.
- Presenting the findings and recommendations of the results to key stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for individuals who hold the following skills and experience:
Educated to degree level in a STEM related field or with relevant work experience in data development, data analysis or data governance. Experience of working in data modelling, metadata management, data quality or data analyst role. Experience processing, filtering, transforming, and presenting data and results of data analysis. Basic knowledge of metadata types, reference data types, documentation of data linage and business process flows.
Ability to convey rigorous data standards across all levels and disciplines within an organisation, challenging stakeholders and educating Data Users.
Strong communication, critical thinking and analytical skills.
