Data Analyst
Permanent, Full-time
Remote with occasional travel to Bristol, London and our practices across the UK.
The Role
Within Bupa Dental Care (BDC) we know how important our data is to our success not only within BDC but within Bupa as whole. To this effect, we have this year started to really focus in on our data quality and integrity following the implementation of a new PMS, as well as formulating a value driven data strategy that is aligned to our business strategy.
This newly created role is going to be responsible for supporting the Data Manager by providing proactive insights from the various levels of data we look to assemble and analyse.
With a new CRM soon to be onboarded, the opportunity to capture and compare valuable data will be increasing, but there is always room for innovation and as such this role will also be suitable for someone who can think ahead and outside the box to give us a competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Support the Data Manager on requirements/requests pertaining to our data quality/integrity and our data strategy
- Understand where and what data we currently hold with business strategy in mind to develop a gap analysis and plan to address
- Work with owners of source systems to improve and maintain the validity of data collated, whilst also addressing inconsistencies
- Understand the main areas of concern/opportunity by working with different areas of the business to develop reporting and analytics that can drive actionable steps and improved decisioning
- Create reports in a digestible format with regular input to Senior Management
- Work with colleagues in the wider business to support our strategic ambitions
- Create clear, concise reports and data dashboards for various departments highlighting key trends and insights
- occasionally travel to practices to build relationships with the Practice Managers and other staff and really get into the detail of how we can support them from a data point of view to reduce workloads/administration and improve efficiencies and patient experience
Skills/Experience
- Excellent demonstratable experience of working in a previous data orientated role
- Educated to degree level in Data Science/Economics/Statistics or similar subject
- High data literacy with experience of working with behavioral and experience data beneficial as well as the more conventional forms
- Proven ability in SQL, Python, R
- Experience/knowledge of Econometrics and/or statistics as well as using statistical packages for analysing large datasets
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Tableau etc
- Experience of working with B2C and B2B data
- A solid understanding of data requirements for digital capability
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and who can turn complex analytics into digestible outputs
- Proactive and results driven
