We are currently recruiting for an Data Analyst to join the Sysco GB FP&A team in the handling of mass data sets, mining insight, reporting and governance of financial planning system Workday.
At Sysco GB, data and one version of the truth is key to supporting business decisions. This role requires natural curiosity, a keen eye for detail spotting patterns and anomalies. The role also requires a systems bias understanding data flows and systems integrity being viewed as an expert in Workday Adaptive Planning.
This is a hybrid role with occasional travel 1-2 times per month to the Ashford office for team collaboration and meetings, so you must be with in a commutable distance.
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
- Leveraging and mining multiple sources of structured and unstructured data from systems and teams across the business,
- Managing processes and data flows and ensuring data integrity is always maintained, performing data error analysis
- Working to horizons from daily, weekly, monthly and annually to 3 year planning.
- Responsible for the day to day running of the Workday Planning System across Sysco GB, including interfacing data from ERPs, user access and being an active part of the user group
- Supporting the Sysco GB FP&A team in delivering transparent reporting, encouraging, and facilitating the effective use of new software and processes
- Continually looking for improvement and insight
- Accurate and timely production of reports at appropriate levels of detail for use across the business, including KPI reporting and adhoc requirements by leadership
- Supporting month end processes, including systems reconciliations, analysing discrepancies and establishing processes or improvements to align.
- Managing timetabling and workflows to wider finance teams
- Supporting the preparation of forecasts and scenario planning.
- Support and facilitate project work and process improvement
Knowledge, skills, experience and competencies
- Experience of cloud-based reporting or forecasting tool required, Workday or similar.
- Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Is diligent and curious, able to spot anomalies. Able to use their initiative to follow enquires to a conclusion.
- Is proactive and has the enthusiasm and tenacity to strive for continuous improvement and added value.
- Has the ability to prioritise and effectively manage different sources of information.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential to liaise effectively with those with both a finance and non-finance background.
- A background in data sciences or systems advantageous.
