Are you passionate about data analysis and eager to launch your career in a dynamic and fast-growing industry? Waste Experts Ltd, a leading waste management company, is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join their team as a Junior Data Analyst Apprentice.

As a Junior Data Analyst Apprentice at Waste Experts Ltd, you will have the opportunity to develop a wide range of skills while working closely with our experienced data analytics team.

You will play a vital role in helping us analyze and interpret large sets of data to derive meaningful insights and drive data-informed decision-making across our organization.

In this role, you’ll work towards your Level 3 Data Analyst Apprenticeship, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.

A Typical Day in the Job:

  • Support the transport team in maintaining site health and safety, including reporting near misses and managing accident risks
  • Assist the transport department and Logistics planner in planning routes and vehicles, considering operational efficiencies and compliance factors. Provide coverage for the transport department during employee absences and support department output.
  • Develop an understanding of route planning and efficiencies within the transport department to effectively manage customer expectations and meet business service level agreements (SLAs) as needed.
  • Organize driver load sheets and necessary paperwork from internal systems after routing and planning. Verify job completion and reassign within the route if necessary.
  • Coordinate vehicle bookings at customer sites to minimize failed collections according to company procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with drivers, sales, operations, and customers to deliver excellent customer service and minimize delays and disruptions to routes and customer sites.

Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.

Salary, Hours & Benefits:

  • Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • £15,000 Per annum
  • Competitive holiday allowance of 20 days plus bank holidays.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:

  • A genuine passion for data analysis, with a strong desire to build a career in this field.
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools, for example, Excel and Tableau
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths and English or Level 2 Functional Skills
