Job summary
- to increase analysis capability and impact across all Government departments
- Support statisticians and analysts working throughout the Government of Jersey.
- Collate, analyse and publish data to help decision makers and Islanders measure progress against Government and Island objectives.
- Support the implementation of the Code of Practice for Statistics: which exists to ensure that all Government statistics are trustworthy, of high quality and add value.
- Being able to use data to tell a true and compelling story: having a strong background in data / statistics; a good knowledge of data handling and presentation applications; and creativity and vision to present data in ways that give a true, unbiased but insightful and convincing picture.
- being comfortable dealing with people across the entire organisation: Sharing your analytical knowledge and skills with colleagues from across Government to enhance their use of data.
- being a passionate advocate for the use of data, having infectious enthusiasm which will rub off on others.
