The Analytics and Statistics Enablement Team (ASET) is a small team with a wide reach. We're looking for an experienced analyst or statistician to join us, and help us to deliver our core objectives:

to increase analysis capability and impact across all Government departments

Support statisticians and analysts working throughout the Government of Jersey.

Collate, analyse and publish data to help decision makers and Islanders measure progress against Government and Island objectives.

Support the implementation of the Code of Practice for Statistics: which exists to ensure that all Government statistics are trustworthy, of high quality and add value.

The role requires a combination of strong technical and communication skills:

Being able to use data to tell a true and compelling story: having a strong background in data / statistics; a good knowledge of data handling and presentation applications; and creativity and vision to present data in ways that give a true, unbiased but insightful and convincing picture.

being comfortable dealing with people across the entire organisation: Sharing your analytical knowledge and skills with colleagues from across Government to enhance their use of data.
