Data Analyst Apprenticeship Level 4

Working Patterns: Fixed Term/Apprenticeship

Salary: From National min £24,836, London min £27,696 (salary may vary depending upon department and location)

Locations: Bristol, Cardiff, Croydon, Darlington, Fareham, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Newport (Gwent), Salford, Sheffield, Wolverhampton

Looking for a career that combines your love for mathematics and data analytics with the opportunity to earn while you learn? Look no further! Join our team as a Data Analytics Apprentice and gain the skills and knowledge to jumpstart your career in the Civil Service.

In this exciting role, you will work alongside experienced Data Scientists across Government, applying your passion for maths and data science to real-world projects for the public sector. You will have the opportunity to conduct data analysis and visualization of key datasets, design data processing systems, and maintain documentation for statistical and data processing functions.

Not only will you gain hands-on experience, but you will also earn a formal qualification through a 2-year apprenticeship program delivered by QA training. The program covers a range of topics, including Introduction to Data, Data Analysis and Compliance, Data Modelling and Database Design, and Integration and Data Analysis Tools.

But that's not all! Candidates who successfully complete the apprenticeship may also be offered a permanent role as a Statistical Officer in Government, with a fast pass through the application process.

We are looking for dynamic, adaptable, and innovative individuals with an aptitude for maths and IT, outstanding problem-solving skills, and a love for working in teams and collaborating with others. If this sounds like you, apply now and start your journey in the exciting world of data analytics!

The programme will be 2 years and will be delivered in England by QA training. The outline will likely cover the below topics. (Candidates in Wales may be under a different training provider).

Qualifications:

To apply for this apprenticeship, you should have, or hope to obtain by September 2023 the following:

  • GCSEs (or Level 2) in Maths and English at Grade C/Grade 4 or above AND EITHER
  • Level 3 IT Apprenticeship in a technical subject;

OR;

  • Two A-Levels including Mathematics or ICT with strong English skills
