Job description
Data Analyst Apprentice
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey into the world of data analysis? Are you hoping for a role that really matters, and a position where your abilities can shine?
We’re a Community Interest Company that’s focused on making improvements, not profit. So, if you share our passion for making work better, join us and be part of the future of work.
We are looking for a Data Analyst Apprentice to join our Finance & Technology and Innovation team.
We’re committed to investing in developing someone with the attitude, interest and capability to learn for this role and help us build our future– not necessarily someone who ticks every technical box!
In a nutshell, you’ll be…
As a Data Analyst Apprentice at IIP, you will play a central role in managing and analysing our company data to uncover valuable insights, gaining ‘hands-on’ experience and guided learning alongside the Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship. We are looking for someone motivated and curious who is eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to our data-driven culture to help us realise our ambitions!
Our company's Finance & Technology and Innovation team is all about making things better across the board. Your role will be to dive into our data, discovering inventive ways to present insights and ensuring that the information is accurate and reliable. And the best part? You'll be doing all of this alongside a fantastic group of colleagues who value flexibility and results over rigid 9-to-5 schedules
This position is perfect for someone who is curious about data and eager to learn. If you've dabbled in data before, that's a bonus, but what matters most is your enthusiasm and willingness to dive in.
Key responsibilities..
· Data Organization: You'll be in charge of sorting and maintaining data from different parts of our company, making sure everything is organized and ready for analysis.
· Data Accuracy: Ensuring that our data is correct and consistent will be a big part of your role. You'll learn how to verify information and spot any errors.
· Data Insights: Dive into datasets and help us identify trends and opportunities that can guide important business decisions.
· Data Visualization: We use a tool called Microsoft Power BI to create visual reports that make complex data easy to understand. You'll learn how to turn data into visuals that tell a story.
· Team Projects: Collaborate with experienced colleagues on projects that tackle real-world challenges. Your input will be valuable in making our team successful.
· Learning Journey: As an apprentice, you'll be part of the Level 4 Data Analyst Corndel apprenticeship program. This means attending virtual training sessions and workshops to build your skills.
· Data Security: You'll learn about keeping data safe and complying with rules and regulations to protect sensitive information.
· Unearth Insights: We have a treasure trove of historical survey data. You'll help explore what this data can tell us, using a new tool called Qualtrics.
· Customer Feedback: We survey our customers for their thoughts. You'll analyze this feedback to find ways we can improve our services.
· Project Support: You'll work closely with our Project Portfolio Manager to learn about managing and supporting business projects using Confluence and agile methods.
Sound good? Ideally your skills, experience and qualifications include:
· Data Enthusiast: If you're excited about data and eager to build a career as a data analyst, we want to hear from you.
· Learning Journey: Are you interested in joining our Level 4 Data Analyst apprenticeship program? This is a great opportunity to kickstart your career or career pivot in data analysis.
· Analytical Thinking: We value your ability to think critically and creatively when solving problems. If you enjoy tackling challenges with a fresh perspective, you'll fit right in.
· Tech-Savvy: You’ll be proficient in using office programs and data analysis. Familiarity with Microsoft suite products and Qualtrics is especially beneficial.
· Attention to Detail: Data accuracy is crucial. Your knack for spotting even the tiniest inconsistencies will make you an asset to our team.
· Communication Skills: Can you explain your findings clearly? Collaboration is key, and your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
· Adaptability: If you're excited about learning new technologies and embracing fresh methodologies, you'll thrive in our dynamic environment.
· Team Player: Whether you're collaborating or working independently, your goal is to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports everyone's success.
