Job description

Data Acquisition & Exchange (DA&E) is part of the Chief Data Office (CDO) HMRC’s central office for obtaining third party bulk information. DA&E uses statutory data gathering powers working closely with internal stakeholders for cross tax investigations.

The successful candidate will join the Data Receipt and Processing Team (DRPT). The team is responsible for upfront data quality analysis prior to the secure receipting/tracking of large volumes of sensitive data across 4 internal teams.

We are a small team so good communication skills and confident decision making are a vital part of the role, as daily interaction with internal and external customers is necessary to support the office workflow.

  • Provide regular data management reports.

  • Internal and external customer liaison.

  • Provide mentoring and support to colleagues as required.

  • Actively engage in problem solving to improve team processes.

  • Ability to change priorities quickly to meet business needs.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working with various digital data formats e. g. excel, text, xml & CSV.

  • Experience of customer service.

Your CV should cover your job history, responsibilities, and key achievements for the past 3 years, noting the reason for any gaps.
