Are you enthusiastic, motivated and an experienced CAMHS Practitioner, who has an interest and knowledge of working with Children and Adolescents who present with mental health and significant behavioural difficulties?
If so, an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Therapist to join Ashford Children’s and Young People’s Service has arisen. We are looking for CBT Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Family Therapists and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapists.The post-holder will be qualified fully registered HCPC/BACP members with a passion for working in this area.
As a key part of our Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service, the post holder will undertake CAMHS assessments of children and young people up to age 18 with formulation and diagnosis, and recommendations for treatment within a spectrum of mental health presentations. You will have a caseload, offering evidence-based interventions to children and adolescents with complex mental health needs and their families.
The post holder will support the staff team and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative. As a Band 7 Clinician you will be expected to work alongside other senior clinicians to develop and implement evidence-based interventions. You will supervise other staff members as required, and support development of Trainees and junior staff. You will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies.
Probation Period
This post will be subject to a six-month probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
