JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

An experienced business cyber security specialist is wanted to join our team focusing on delivering services to clients in an effective, proficient, and agile manner. The selected candidate will be in responsibility of examining IT systems for potential threats to its security, drawing up plans for disaster recovery if security is compromised and dealing with reports on breaches in security. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective organizational and communication skills, and in-depth knowledge of cyber security and the tools used.

Key Responsibilities:

· Investigate security incidents in-depth, report them, and aid the incident management process.

· To provide real time threat analysis and detection.

· Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and potential threats.

· Support investigations in Major Incidents.

· Operation of SIEM tools including suggestions for creation and tuning of rules.

· Respond to all Security Incident generated from the SIEM platform, or incidents detected out with the SIEM platform, such as those logged directly to via our service desk.

· Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

· Document security procedures and incident reports.

· Keep up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends.

· Develop our threat-hunting capabilities in-line with industry accepted frameworks.

· Collaborate with IT teams to implement security best practices.

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, or a related field.

· Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

· Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms.

· Familiarity with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.).

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

· Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ are a plus.

· Previous experience in a cybersecurity role is essential.

· Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
