The UK Data Loss Prevention (DLP) team is aligning to Group to deliver this strategy and ensure that Santander UK´s cyber security capability is optimised.

The DLP team are accountable for supporting maintaining and enforcing Santander’s Cyber Security Policies and Rules and configuring software to appropriately manage the risk. Also escalating, and managing concerns in a timely and appropriate manner across varying platforms in line with operational risk policies.

An evolving and fast paced environment where positive participation in developing an approach to Insider threat beyond DLP.

  • Identifying, assessing, managing, and reporting risk, taking proactive personal responsibility for ‘doing the right thing’ in compliance with regulatory requirements and our frameworks and policies.
  • Progressing specific actions that could minimise or mitigate risks identified (e.g., conduct risk and operational risk).
  • Maintaining awareness of changes to regulatory landscape and incorporating these into activities.
  • Supporting the bank in meeting its business, legal, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Financial Crime Compliance.

What you’ll bring.

  • Demonstrable knowledge to use data from complex systems and sources to deliver meaningful information for detailed statistical data analysis.
  • Excellent understanding of risk management practices, processes, and techniques.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experience to recognise opportunity and identify and appropriately challenge proposals and decisions whilst exercising confidentiality, discretion, and personal sensitivity in all aspects of role
  • Experience in managing risk
  • Exposure to cyber security policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of applicable Data Protection laws and regulations (GDPR), Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards and the NIST Cyber Security Framework.

The role is currently Bradford or Milton Keynes office based. This is a permanent Role.
