Job description
We manufacturer high quality upholstered furniture for the Commercial market. Due to an ever-increasing order book, we are looking to hire motivated and practical individuals to join our Cutting & Sewing Team. As a sewing machinist you will produce high quality chair and sofa covers which skilled upholsterers will use to cover frames.
Job Purpose:
To sew various items of furniture covers at a quality standard.
To complete work to a high-quality standard, whilst meeting deadlines.
To cut fabrics in line with pre-existing patterns created.
Help create new patterns and update any pre-existing.
To work with the production team to achieve the production schedule.
To observe company operational procedures / standards and individual customer requirements.
To observe Health and Safety regulations, being careful to look after yourself and others whilst at work.
Work with supervisors and management to implement plans for continuous improvement in the factory and comply with the manufacturing and Quality standards required.
Experience and skills required:
The ability to produce high quality sewn upholstery on a consistent basis.
Working with Flatbed and Overlocking sewing machines.
Ability to follow sewing specifications.
Excellent timekeeping and attendance
Ability to complete production plans to account for work completed during the day
To work with all staff in maintaining 5s standards, and operate a 'clean as you go' regime aimed at providing an 'any visit, any time' standard

· Friday : 7:00am – 14:15pm

· Sewing Machinist: 1 year or more
· Industrial Sewing: 1 year or more
