- You will be responsible for managing and monitoring all imports and exports.
- You will be the first point of contact for the business in relation to import and exports activity.
- Reconciling the monthly MSS reports from HMRC for both imports and exports
- Manage and control C&E reporting ensuring legal requirements are met
- Escalate non-routine issues, or critical issues to the Customs and Excise Manager
- Ensuring they remain up to date with Customs and Excise legislation
- Monitor and control all imports and exports to ensure compliance with Customs regulations.
- Management of all clearance instructions with customs agents and freight partners
- Track shipments to ensure they are received in agreed timescales and escalate any delays to appropriate function.
- Monitor ICS status of all exports to ensure they reach correct departed status
- Responsible for all imports and exports ensuring accurate declarations are submitted
- Monthly reconciliation of MSS Reports received from HMRC. Identify error and take corrective action.
- Managing Customer returns process from a C&E perspective and creating registered consignor movements from the port
- Create EMCS & NES entries as required ensuring accuracy of information supplied
- Be available out with normal working hours to provide C&E support (when required)
- Responsible for ensuring correct tariff classification for all materials and obtaining BTI’s when required.
- Ensure accurate Customs Procedure Codes are applied to imports and exports.
