The Opportunity
Leonardo Helicopters has a lifetime opportunity for a Customer Training – TACCO Instructors!
The main scope of the role is to act as a TACCO Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of customer flying training. The job will include design and development of all training material to comply with LUK/MAA regulations and standards, type conversion flying training and basic role flying training for pilot aircrew on AW159 initially for the Philippines Navy customer.

What you will do
1. Product Development and Delivery
Researching and evaluating the technical content of the training material you either develop or approve for currency, accuracy and ease of applicability- Supporting the development and content of all Flying Training Courses for the AW159 aircraft
- Delivering training to the customer to the required standard and needs of the customer
- Reviewing training materials regularly and update as authorised
- Providing the safe and efficient conduct of flying operations and flying training undertaken by the AW159 students
- Ensuring compliance with all extant flying related regulations and WA4597-1 Company Internal documentation
- Ensuring compliance with all extant non flying related regulations and documentation
- Be responsible for the performance of the flying training in accordance with the CRS 23 CFAOS Operations Manual
- Be responsible for the delivery of ground training/testing as required
- Completion of Instructors Flight Reports after every training sortie
- Support regular reviews of the Standardisation, Safety and Quality Systems.
- Prepare and deliver student flight and ground tests and examinations
- Control and maintain the flying training documentation and records
2. Develop and Maintain Effective Customer Service
Ensure that you are briefed on customer expectations, agreed requirements and outcomes before contracted work commences- Be aware of and respond appropriately to any personal or welfare issues
- Alert your team leader to any potential shortfall in delivery and its implications
- Provide an internal customer interface with LH Customer Support and Training directorate to ensure that internal customer training requirements are captured and met
3. Develop, Maintain and Transfer Expertise/Capability
Contribute to forward planning of tasks and resource requirements by analysing both current and planned business activities in your area of responsibility and identifying potential resource requirements and issues- Keep abreast of new and emergent technologies and look for ways in which they can support and improve upon the products offered by the company
- Provide advice and assistance to customers and other stakeholders as directed
- Assist with resource planning, by identifying future skill requirements and devising interventions so that skills gaps are filled

What we are looking for
Essential Qualifications:
Ex UK Military QOI- Ex UK Military AW101, AW159 or Sea King 1500hrs on type
- Minimum 2000hrs twin engine helicopter as Observer/TACCO

Minimum B1(Instructor) 200hrs instruction
Highly Desirable Qualifications: - QOI A2 500hrs airborne instruction
- NVG qualified
- Previous experience of working with/instructing non-UK aircrew
- Previous involvement in course design and development
- Familiar with Defence System Approach to Training (DSAT)
