About Wonderbly

Wonderbly is the world’s leading personalised publishing company, and Children’s Publisher of the year 2021. We conceive, design, promote, sell, and make unique books for wonderful customers all over the world.

Our mission is to make people feel extraordinarily special, and bring them closer to the people they love, through the power of personalised stories. So far we’ve shipped over 8 million books to over 150 countries. We’ve done this in just nine years, and we’re just getting started.

Behind all of this is our incredible team of Customer Support Angels delivering top-of the-class customer support from around the world.

Customer Support Angel - Temporary Holiday Role

For our 2023 Holiday season, we’re looking for some incredible people to join our year-round team of Customer Support Angels, to help deliver support that is empathetic, genuine, and well, human - no robots here!

This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to be part of a team (and something quite magical), while still being able to balance everyday life. Whether you’re a stay at home parent, a student, someone just looking for something a little ‘extra’, or anything in between - if you have a passion for offering incredible customer support, this could be a great fit!

A bit about the role:

Working 100% remotely, you’ll work alongside our year-round Angels to support our customers with any queries they may have about their orders and our books. All of our customer support is done via email, and you’ll typically be responding to customers looking for updates on the whereabouts of their orders. We support our customers in English mainly, but also French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Dutch.

  • Temporary contract initially (Mid Oct to Mid Jan) with the potential for longer term.

  • Flexible hours with the ability to set your preferred availability

  • An estimated 10-20 hours per week, with the possibility of more depending on need.

  • An initial (paid) training period.

  • Work remotely from (almost) anywhere in the world

What’s required for the role:

While a passion for customer support and the skills to deliver it are the main component of the role, we do have a few basic requirements that must be met:

  • Have steady access to a computer/laptop

  • Have steady and reliable access to high speed internet

  • Have experience using email, messaging platforms, and internet (various browsers and devices)

  • Have experience using G-suite (google sheets, google docs, etc)

  • Must be available for a minimum of 10-20 hours, 5 days per week

  • Must be fully fluent in English (written and comprehension)

And as a bonus, (not required but really nice to have)

  • Previous customer support experience

  • Previous experience working in a remote environment

  • Multilingual; English + any of: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch

A little bit about you

You’re a well rounded team player with excellent communication skills, along with the ability to think logically and problem solve on the fly. You’re a keen self-starter who is able to work and learn independently, with minimal hands on support. You’re keen to share new ideas and take initiative, while still being able to follow direction and policy. And of course, you have a passion for helping others, and in creating a memorable experience for our customers!

How to Apply:

If all of these details have got you excited about applying for our temporary Holiday Customer Support role, great! We’re excited too! Simply fill in our application form >> HERE

Please note:

  • Only applications via the link above will be accepted, no other forms will be received.

  • Applicants moving on in the hiring process will be notified via Email, no later than September 1st, 2023.

  • Due to the incredible number of applications received, we unfortunately cannot reply to every applicant.

Looking forward to your application, and welcoming our 2023 group of Holiday Angels!

About us

Oh hi! We’re delighted that you’re interested in working with Wonderbly, the UK Children’s Publisher of the Year 2021. Below you’ll find out all about us, our mission and values, and the roles we have open right now.

Wonderbly is the world’s leading personalised publishing company. We conceive, design, promote, sell, and make wonderful books for wonderful customers all over the world.

Our mission is to make people feel extraordinarily special, and bring them closer to the people they love, through the power of personalised stories. So far we’ve shipped over 8 million books to over 150 countries. We’ve done this in just eight years, and we’re just getting started.

Getting personalised books to all those millions of customers requires a multidisciplinary team. Our wonderful people have experience across editorial design, research, production, software engineering, marketing, e-commerce, data analysis, print-on-demand manufacturing, shipping… the list goes on.

This means that Wonderbly is a collaborative and creative place to work, with lots of opportunities for growth and development across a broad range of skills.

We’re based in London, where we have a gorgeous, light-filled studio for working together. But like many digital-first companies, we have a hybrid operating model, with many colleagues working from home and further afoot much of the time.

Our values

Wonderbly’s values were born from the three qualities at the heart of ‘Lost My Name’ - our original and best-selling personalised children’s book. These values are Courage, Curiosity and Kindness. And although they naturally have a child-friendly ring to them, these are deeply human values that we believe everyone should live by.

Courage means taking calculated risks and trying things that no one else would. It means setting audacious goals, seeing them through, and being willing to be wrong.

Curiosity means investing in learning, never losing sight of the ‘WHY’. Curiosity allows us to ask silly questions, explore our blind spots, and dip into other disciplines for inspiration.

Kindness is at the heart of our culture: it’s no coincidence that deep friendships form here every day. Kindness means making space for one another, inclusivity as standard, and clear, direct communication. It does not mean “good vibes only”: the kindest conversations are often the hardest.

Equal opportunities employer

Our team is committed to providing equal opportunities for employment regardless of race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, disability, family structure, socio-economic status, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership status, sexual orientation, gender identity or any other basis (it's the law, but it's also just the right thing to do).

If you have a disability, caring duties, or any other additional needs that require consideration, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them during the application process.
