Job Title: Customer Services Officer (Benefits)
Location: Chorley Council & South Ribble Council
Salary: £25,409 - £26,845
Hours: Full time (36.25 hours)
Contract: Permanent
Closing Date: 30 April 2023

What you’ll be getting up to
  • You will ensure a high standard of service and excellent outcomes for our customers
  • You will undertake all aspects of processing relating to Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
  • You will deal with all customer communication from across all our contact channels

Who we’re looking for
  • We’re looking for someone who has a strong knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support legislation
  • You’ll also have experience dealing with Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support Assessments
  • You will have an understanding of how technology and digital services can help provide excellent customer service as well as excellent IT skills.
  • You will also be able to communicate effectively, work under pressure and respond flexibly.
