Our Customer Service Specialists are an essential part of our team, they build relationships and liaise with our customers, ensuring orders are processed on time and are instrumental in achieving great customer satisfaction. Our Customer Service Specialists are pro-active and work collaboratively to find solutions if there are issues or problems, they are also responsible for…
Receiving customer orders via EDI, telephone, email, fax or post.- Process customer orders on time / as per schedule and prioritize orders as and when required.
- Ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Respond to customer inquiries.
- Inform customers about prices, discounts and billing processes.
- Check stock availability.
- Appraise customers on alternative products when required item is not available.
- Resolve problems pertaining to customer orders and fulfilment.
- Ensure correct and timely completion of performance reports e.g., Service level, root causes, non-conformance etc
- Maintain and update customers’ database.
- Manage exports to non-EU and EU countries including required documentation.
- Manage returns, complaints and non-conformances and enquire about reasons and investigate what corrective actions are required.
- Systems and master data management to ensure customer orders can be received and fulfilled (PLM, Barcodes, Product Substitutions, Default plants etc.)
- Attend regular supply meetings with Customer Service, Planning, and Warehousing departments to discuss and pre-empt any delivery issues which may arise
- Attend meetings with customers and McCain customer managers (as per agreed rhythm, when required)
- Proactive engagement with McCain customer managers, internal functions and customers to drive collaboration and efficiencies
- Accountability for assigned customers
- Cover for invoice process (holidays/ absence)
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR…
You’ll have experience in a customer service role with proven knowledge of working and liaising with a broad range of customers with high order volumes. As well as a love of chips, we’re also looking for…
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment (FMCG or CPG)- Ability to stay calm and work under pressure
- Ability to work as a team
- Experience in using ERP systems e.g., SAP
- Great customer service skills
- Great written and verbal communication
- Work to deadlines and ability to prioritise customer orders
- A problem-solving and pro-active mind-set
- Attention to detail
- Computer literacy e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word
We operate a shift pattern to fit our operating hours means that typically you will be required to work on weekends one week in every six.
