Customer Service Specialist and Despatch Officer

Job summary

The Carrier Company is a small family run apparel business based in North Norfolk. Inspired by our countryside surroundings, we have created sustainable and long lasting clothing and equipment for men and women since 1995.

The products we make are all produced locally as sustainability has driven our production process from the start. The business was created with local communities in mind, the way our products are made supports those around us.

Responsibilities

  • Customer service - dealing with in-store appointments as well as phone and online queries
  • Packing parcels – Most of our orders are online and we dispatch all our products from our barn in Wighton
  • Managing inventory
  • Store checks and distribution of materials
  • Helping on photo shoots
  • Opportunity to gain skills in marketing and site maintenance using Shopify platform

Qualifications, experience, and skills

- Customer service experience preferable but not crucial in providing customers with a great experience. Problems do invariably arise and we like to see these as opportunities to problem-solve and deliver customer satisfaction

- No formal qualifications are necessary however the ideal candidate should have an excellent command of both written and spoken English

- Good level of computer literacy is preferable- the ability to create spreadsheets using either Excel or Numbers.

- Great interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £9.00-£10.00 per hour
