About the Position: Serve as Facility Services Assistant at a major multipurpose water resource project that includes power generation, flood control, visitor centers, natural resources and recreation features, or other appurtenant elements at several locations.

Duties
- Oversee a comprehensive computerized facilities preventive maintenance program.
- Provide system control, oversight, data entry, repair history, analysis, and documentation of the ongoing maintenance control program for the hydroelectric powerhouse, facilities, resource management equipment and miscellaneous tools and equipment.
- Compiles, prepares, and generates various reports (man hour reports, maintenance backlog reports, equipment downtime reports etc.), records, statistics, listings, charts and graphs, or other related information.
- Utilize the maintenance management control system (Facilities and Equipment Maintenance System (FEMS)) to issue and schedule routine and cyclical maintenance, repair and replacement of all equipment, machinery, etc.
- Serve as the onsite automation expert and system software administrator of FEMS.

For the GS-07:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that provided a knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery, manuals, drawings, and related technical terms such as parts, equipment, tools etc. (supply and/or purchasing); and experience using a computer maintenance management system (CMMS) to track or schedule maintenance for industrial equipment/machinery. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
OR
Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Maintenance Management, Maintenance Engineering, or Facilities Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
For the GS-08:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating a full range of maintenance and repair work for industrial equipment/machinery using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) at an industrial facility. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: One and a half years of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Maintenance Management, Maintenance Engineering, or Facilities Management. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond one year (total semester hours minus 18) by 9. Add the two percentages.
