Safran Electrical Components are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to support our busy team on a 6 month basis with the opportunity to go permanent.
What will I be doing?
Your role will be to work with the Sales & Customer Services team at Slough in giving excellent support to the business in line with the Global Safran Electrical Components' Sales Policy. You will effectively
process enquiries & orders, work with the engineering, finance, planning and operations department, and product managers to ensure smooth operation of all sales/customer related matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing orders within a quick turnaround
- Deal with incoming customer requests – emails & phone calls
- Maintain a high degree of data accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service at all points of contact
Orders:
- Booking in against enquiries
- Checking all data including pricing info is valid and up to date
- Review contractual agreements
- Liaise with Engineering teams for any non-standard orders
Assisting accounts department:
- Assist with credit control processes
- Chasing payments
- Follow the SEC Accounts policy / process – involve Customer Service Manager in the case of any problems or difficulties
Dealing with customer queries or complaints:
- Handles queries in a calm, professional manner
- Record complaints in line with our policy on the Complaints Log
- Liaise with relevant departments to resolve issues
- Keep in touch with customers for ongoing complaints
- Escalate to manager if/when required

Based in Slough, Safran Electrical Components oversee a wide range of electrical design and manufacture work.
The teams produce components, connector adaptors, backshells, transitions and more, providing electromagnetic, lightning strike and physical protection for writing systems for demanding environments.

Job requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a proven track record of working in a customer service environment
- Minimum 2 years' customer service experience
- Excellent telephone manner
- High standard of written English
- Computer literate
- Willing and able to develop product knowledge and learn new processes
This will be an excellent opportunity to develop within a fast paced environment at a Global Aerospace Engineering company.
Although initially a 6 month FTC, there is the possibility of the role to become permanent and you will also have access to other opportunities within the Safran group.
