Parsley Box
Full Time Edinburgh, Scotland 23500 - 12.04 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

A little bit about Parsley Box

We’ve established ourselves as one of the market leaders in the meal delivery category, promoting and supporting healthy ageing by making mealtimes for the over 65s easier and more enjoyable.

Our mission is to support healthy ageing and make Parsley Box the brand of choice for this demographic and our customer care agents are core to helping us achieve this. We’re looking for customer care agents to join our care team and we’re flexible on hours and days worked (see below).

What we're looking for

Your friends might describe you as the sociable one, and someone who sparks up a conversation in any supermarket queue. You love to provide great service and engage in authentic conversations with people who really appreciate it. This is a telephony based role, so you’ll be comfortable making connections with our customers and colleagues over the phone.

As a customer care agent, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to new and existing customers, ensuring their needs are always met.
  • Keeping customers informed of our exciting new products and make suggestions of things they might like to try.
  • Taking ownership of any issues and communicating with other departments; always looking for ways that we can improve.
  • Making deeply trusted connections with our customers, something that sets us apart from others in the industry in terms of our service.
  • Updating systems with relevant information (full training will be provided).
  • Supporting our inbound call team as well as our outbound team who focus on welcoming new customers to the Parsley Box family.

We recently signed up to the Age-friendly Employer Pledge, a nationwide programme for employers who recognise the importance and value of older workers. We’re committed to improving work for people in their 50s and 60s and taking the necessary action to help them flourish in a multigenerational workforce.

As part of this work, we’re offering increased flexibility in the hours, days and location for this role. We have a range of hours available between 9am and 6pm Monday to Saturday, and can offer contracts of between 8 and 20 hours per week. Our busiest day is a Monday, so we will need you to work that day. We offer hybrid working between home and the office, with a day every week/fortnight in the office (depending on your contracted hours and pattern). We’ll work with you to shape a routine that fits with your life.

We’ll also provide full training and support to ensure you deliver your best work, and will continue to support your learning and personal development during your time working with us. We do ask that you’re available to attend the Edinburgh office for the first week of employment on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) to enable us to best support your onboarding and induction into your new role.

What we offer:

  • Salary: £23,500 (full time equivalent)
  • 6% company pension contribution (you contribute 5%) to help you plan for your future.
  • 33 days annual leave including public holidays. Annual leave increases by 1 day with after 2, 4 and 6 years’ service.
  • 2 wellbeing days per year to proactively support your physical and mental wellbeing.
  • Flexible working options including use of the office, work from home, part-time and flexible hours.
  • Life insurance at 2x salary.
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave, cycle to work and health screening through our salary sacrifice portal.
  • Modern workspace with onsite parking, café, free gym access, changing rooms with drying lockers.
  • Employee assistance helpline access for support at difficult or challenging times.
  • Access to corporate discounts such as mortgage solutions and high street shopping voucher discounts.
  • Retirement planning and financial wellbeing support.

We’re actively building diverse and inclusive teams and welcome applications from everyone, including people of all ages. CV’s are great, but we place more importance on who you are and how you can play your part in the success of Parsley Box. If you need any special assistance at any stage of our recruitment process please just let us know and we’ll happily make any adjustments.
