The main aim of the role working as a Mitie Customer Care Agent at London City Airport, you will escort passengers through the terminal as directed by the allocation team. These passengers may have reduced mobility (PRM), hidden disability or temporary impediment.

You will also:

• Escorting departing/arriving passengers as directed from check-in through to departures lounge using wheelchairs or electric buggy and then onto aircraft gate for boarding.
• Aiding with baggage for PRM passengers
• Ensuring that wheelchairs and buggies are always clean and tidy.
• Ensure that the allocator is updated on progress by use of AvTech PDAs
• Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted in a timely manner
• Provide assistance to the aircraft for assistance animals when required.

To be succesful in this role, you will need:

• Previous experience of working in a care giving capacity would be an advantage, but full training will be provided.
• Able to cope with a busy and vibrant airport environment.
• Excellent communication skills with an empathic nature.
• Must be able to lift passengers in accordance with manual handling guidelines.
• Preferably to hold the Driving License (not essential)
• Be able to walk long distances while pushing or pulling a heavy load

To meet security requirements, you will need:

• A fully 5 years checkable reference history is essential
• The ability to pass a basic Criminal Record Check / DBS
• The Right to Work in the UK
