We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Volunteer Services Assistant to join our Volunteer Services Department team.


Location:
Humber River Hospital - Wilson Site

Hours of work: Monday - Friday, Days

Employee Group: Non-Union


Responsibilities:

  • Acting as liaison with the public, volunteers and staff to provide general information on the volunteer program.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment interviews and related materials
  • Conduct volunteer reference checks
  • Track volunteer attendance
  • Prepare and coordinate logistics and materials for volunteer orientation, program meetings and events
  • Maintain volunteer database (VsysOne) and prepare monthly reports and statistics.
  • Assisting with special projects as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum three years of administrative/secretarial experience required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills – proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in a volunteer environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills with ability to prioritize and work independently.
  • Proven decision making and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential issues/information in a professional manner.
