Currently, we're seeking a part-time Customer Service Assistant to join our team working at our new store in Newbury.
Let’s talk about the role!
- Putting the customer first in everything that you do. Whether it be welcoming customers new to their self-storage journey, answering phone or online leads or simply walking the store, ensuing customer satisfaction must remain at the core of your role.
- We are looking for somebody with an incredible team spirit, who can support the store management team with their day-to-day responsibilities and step up to any challenge, whenever it is needed. Somebody with an appetite for the entire team's success will be a core part of this role.
- A real KPI driver! Somebody who can understand and help to drive the day-to-day KPI’s and ensure that the store is delivering on targets set by the management team. This could include occupancy, merchandise or a whole host of other targets, all put in place to drive you and the business forward.
- A hands on approach is key for this role! Each store is responsible for their own cleaning, whether it be the office, bathrooms or vacant units, we are looking for somebody who has the upmost pride in where they work and want to show it off at all times.
- Assisting the store management team with inventory control. From boxes to bubble-wrap, you will be responsible for making sure that your inventory and display are always accurate and presentable.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following procedures and complying with legal regulations. From move-ins to move-outs and everything in-between, our customers and team deserve the best workplace standards and we need all team members to help to ensure this happens.
- Given that this is a customer facing business, you will be required to work a variety of shift patterns, including, mornings, evenings, weekends and some holidays.

- An extremely process oriented mindset, while having the ability to get your hands dirty when need be.
- A problem solver who can manage a variety of problems and ask for help whenever necessary.
- Confidentiality is key. You must understand the importance of handling sensitive customer information such as addresses and customer credit card information and that you are responsible for the strictest GDPR standards, ensuring all information is kept safe and secure.
- Communicate with many different stakeholders, e.g., customers, store managers, team members, neighbours, back-office team members and more.

This job description is not exhaustive. We would expect individuals to be flexible and to adapt. Self-storage and sales experience is not required, but certainly is a plus.
The post-holder will be required to work a variety shifts including weekdays and weekends each week. This would include a 4 hour shift every Sunday.
