Job description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in cloud computing and a customer facing environment, presenting and delivering technical pitches.
  • Experience with data and machine learning frameworks, as well as numerical programming frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with designing, building, and operating machine learning solutions leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g., deep learning, LSTM, convolution networks, etc.).
  • Experience in training and fine tuning large models (i.e., image, language, segmentation, recommendation, genomics) with AI accelerators.
  • Experience leveraging Cloud-based machine learning solutions.
  • Experience with containerization and Kubernetes within the cloud.
  • Ability to engage with C-level or executive business leaders and influence decisions.
  • Passion for machine learning operations approaches, conceptual related frameworks, and technical implementation based on CI/CD.

As an Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Customer Engineer, you will contribute experience and thought leadership to support Google Cloud Sales teams and drive vision, mission, and strategy around Google Cloud AI/ML solutions that aid in a customer’s migration and transformation. You will meet with customers to facilitate business transformation, success patterns, and establish an architectural blueprint as the foundation for migration to Google Cloud. In this role, you will work cross-functionally to introduce Google Cloud to our customers, help prospective and existing customers/partners understand the power of Google Cloud, develop creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve their business challenges, and problem-solve any potential technical roadblocks.

Responsibilities

  • Work with enterprise customers to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Be a trusted advisor to our Enterprise Customers for AI opportunities, to ensure overall cloud strategy, recommending migration approaches, integration strategies, and architecture that leverage Google Cloud AI components and optimized infrastructure.
  • Demonstrate how Google Cloud is differentiated, highlighting the power of accelerators by working with customers on POCs, demonstrating features, optimizing model performance, profiling, and benchmarking.
  • Influence Google Cloud strategy at the intersection of AI/ML expertise and infrastructure by regular interaction with Product groups.
  • Travel to customer sites and events as needed.
