Beards & Daisies is one of the UK’s largest house plant retailers, with our nursery and offices based in Chelmsford, Essex.
With fast growth (pardon the pun!) over the past five years, we’re now looking for a Customer Delivery Driver to be the friendly face of our business – the helpful driver who delivers the unique blend of quality and excellent service that you expect from our company, right to our customers’ doors. This is an important ‘front line’ role that is a crucial part of our operation, where you will be a key member of our team. With a 4.9 Trust Pilot score, you will represent us, and our customers’ impression of us is down to you! This role is predominantly based within the M25 with occasional nationwide delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver goods to our customers with exceptional customer service
· Uphold the reputation of Beards & Daisies by striving to meet delivery schedules
· Ensuring that the van is driven and maintained to the expected standards
· To support and champion best practice within transport operations
· This job entails working with some heavy products and will involve lifting
· This job entails supporting the delivery and installation of large scale plant installations
Essential skills you’ll need
· Full UK Manual Driving Licence, with no more than 6 penalty points
· Friendly and helpful manner with strong communication skills
· At least 2 years previous experience as a full-time delivery driver
As a Delivery Driver with Beards & Daisies, your duties will include
· Delivering plants and pots to our customers as per the planned route.
· Providing outstanding customer service to both domestic customers and corporate clients.
· Our Delivery Drivers are expected to maintain a timely communication by phone with our customers to keep them informed of issues or changes to their proposed delivery.
· Some heavy lifting is required in order to fulfil our customer’s orders.
Some important bits
· No driving disqualifications within the last 10 years
· The depot is based in Roxwell, 10 minutes outside of Chelmsford city centre, however routes will predominantly be London based
· Where possible, the last drop will be scheduled closest to your home
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £32,000.00 per year
