Why Highway Resource Solutions (HRS)
Highway Resource Solutions (HRS) was established in 2011, following the death of a Road Worker in Lincolnshire, UK. This tragic incident, caused by an errant vehicle, was the catalyst for the development of an Incursion Warning System for road workers which is now recognised as best practice by industry and Highways England. HRS specialise in the delivery of digital services and assets for sectors in temporary infrastructure, including roads, rail, utilities, and event management.
Our Mission is to provide technology-based safety solutions that will help to significantly reduce injuries and fatalities in temporary work zones, whilst providing the travelling public with accurate real-time information.

About the role of Customer Delivery Director
To lead customer facing operations teams, ensuring high levels of service delivery, quality and customer engagement are always maintained.
Responsibilities of a Customer Delivery Director
- Identifying opportunities for process efficiencies through the digitisation of current processes.
- Champion the businesses approach to a streamlined ERP / Finance solution that maximises value from the selected solutions in Group.
- Ensure requirements are understood and documented and on time / on budget delivery of customer orders for special projects.
- Lead customer account management activity (after 3-6 months)
- Be the 'voice of the customer' for developments in on-line reporting and HRS's portal.
- Promote a 'One Team' approach to working across HRS functions.
- Must have an ability to quickly establish dynamic working relationships with both customers, colleagues, and external partners.
What good looks like as a Customer Delivery Director
- Demonstrable experience of leading multi-disciplined teams.
- Proven track record in process improvement in rapidly changing business environment.
- Experience of customer engagement across multiple levels up to Director / C-Suite level
- Experience of working in a matrix-management environment where influencing is often required to deliver results.
- Solid commercial understanding of drivers for a business P&L
- A 'Team leader' able to inspire and articulate a clear vision of the business's strategic goals.
- Proficient in the use of a PC, the Microsoft Office suite of software and ability to work with other business management systems.
- An open mind to new innovations and their application within the digital world.
- An ability to network and influence across all levels of the business.
- Excellent communicator and confident in presenting to groups of people.
- An ability to work within a high performing, fasting moving team.
- Highly motivated
- Full UK driving license.
- Must be able to create and foster new working relationships sometimes in challenging situations.
- The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate with Group Directors, Senior Managers, Supervisors and Operatives. Adjusting delivery and approach as appropriate.
This is a managerial role within the business and the successful candidate will be expected to be fully accountable for their actions.
