JOB TITLE: Customer Contact Assistant
LOCATION: Horncastle
SALARY: £21,028 per annum
Exciting opportunity to join our Customer Contact Team at our flagship offices in Horncastle!
PSPS are recruiting Customer Contact Assistants to join our well-established team, based at our brand new bespoke offices in Horncastle.

We are looking for quick thinking, solution focused individuals, who work with one team approach to improve standards and service. Our cohort recruitment package enables Assistants to join our 6-month programme of exclusive training and mentoring, with ongoing development and support.
As a Customer Contact Assistant, you will provide an efficient, effective and customer focused first point of contact, for customers telephoning and emailing our Client Councils spanning across 3 districts. Leading on enquiries at our reception also, you will provide customers with a knowledgeable and professional service covering a range of council services, ensuring that all contacts are managed in an efficient, caring manner and that excellent customer service is delivered.
What you’ll need to do the role
- You will communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and face to face.
- Work constructively with others and use own initiative.
- You will hold a high level of experience in dealing with challenging customers and have a high understanding of customer care.
- Be flexible and adaptable to service requirements and change.
- You will have a grade C or above in Maths and English and be competent in use of Microsoft Office.
- Be confident to actively promote all self- serve and digital contact channels and assist with a variety of admin tasks.
- Have had previous experience in working in a customer environment.
- Have a full driving license and own transport, as occasional travel between sites may be required.
