37 hours per week: Monday to Friday (9am – 5.30pm) Temporary role up to 1 year to cover a secondment or the return of the substantive post holder. This role will mostly focus on our digital and social media areas
Magna Housing is a community-based housing association. We mainly work in Dorset and Somerset (our head office is in Dorchester) providing housing services to local people. We understand that a home and a house are two different things. Our job is to understand each customer’s needs and give them somewhere they can enjoy living and feel they belong. We are looking for customer focused, highly motived (and above all) friendly advisors who can build a great rapport with our customers, establish their needs, and give them the best experience at the right time, first time.
You will be part of a great team where our people are passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and feel motivated to contribute to our success.
What you will be doing:
- Speaking to customer on the phone about their enquiry
- Answering emails from customers, dealing with social media queries
- Raising repairs and creating contacts in the CRM system
- Using IT systems to aid in answering customer queries
- Liaising with contractors and other work colleagues
- Mostly working from with fantastic support
What we are looking for
- Preferably at least one years’ experience in customer service
- Proven ability to give great customer service and get it right first time
- Great IT skills
- Able to multitask effectively whilst providing our customers with a high level of service
- Great phone manner and a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to talk to customers without using script
- Excellent communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Love learning in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Ambitious and willing to accept new challenges
Full training will be provided in a hybrid manner (virtually and at one of our offices)

As assessment day will be held on 13th July 2023 and will include a series of team and individual exercises. Should you be selected for further interview following the assessment centre, these will take place on 18th July 2023 via Microsoft Teams.
