The job itself
We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our Revenues and Benefit Contact Centre as Customer Advisor’s on a full-time permanent basis.
There are 2 full time vacancies (working 37 hours per week).
The Revenue and Benefits contact centre is extremely customer focused, providing support and advice to residents and businesses of the East Riding.
The Customer Advisor role ensures that every customer contact counts, therefore excellent communication and organisations skills are essential to this position along with a good level of interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Successful candidates will be working within a friendly team, be able to demonstrate commitment, flexibility and deal with complex legislation and procedures. Proficient keyboard skills are essential along with being committed to high standards of customer service. You must have the ability to communicate effectively and courteously, whilst working as part of an extremely busy team, attaining to daily key performance indicators.
Experience in council tax, benefits and rents are not essential as training will be given. however, some knowledge in any of those areas would be beneficial to the role. Experience of working within a busy call centre environment would also be an advantage.
Please note: This is a career graded post. There will be the opportunity to move through the grades once eligible criteria have been met. Also, this role involves working from home with days in the office environment.
Should you be employed on a part time basis, whilst undertaking training, you would be expected to work full time for the period of training.
