The Coach House has an opportunity for a Night Porter to join their friendly team…so are you an outgoing and happy person looking for a new role?
We are an independent hotel based in Carlton Colville, offering both neighbours and guests a relaxed environment for eating, celebrating and staying whilst visiting the area for work or leisure breaks.
We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to help us look after our customers and guests in our refurbished restaurants, bars and lounges. We offer a range eating and drinking options and are building a reputation for great food and service.
Ideally, you will have previous experience of working nights and previous experience of working in hospitality. As this role involves serving drinks in the bar to resident guests outside of normal bar hours, by law, you must be at least 18 years old.

Your key tasks as a Night Porter:
- Locking up and ensuring the safety and security of not only the premises but the residents too, conducting regular checks throughout the night of the property
- Respond to any emergencies that occur in a timely professional and confident manner
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns
- Tidying of the public areas in the hotel
- Assisting the Front of House team with any preparations for the following day including assisting in folding of napkins, polishing cutlery, setting up the meeting spaces and the restaurant
- Complete any administrative tasks set by the Reception Manager
Our ideal team member would be well organised, friendly and committed to looking after our guests.
Flexibility required to cover a variety of shifts per week including bank holidays and weekends.
